Fall in New England is here which means it's time for cozy sweaters, suede boots, and soul-warming produce.
Pumpkins tend to take the show in October what with Halloween and all, however, there are many more fruits and veggies that deserve a tip of the hat this season such as, Apples, Beets, Broccoli, Eggplant, Mushrooms, Pears, Squash, and Sweet Potatoes.
When I look at the list above, Pumpkins are actually one of the veggies I tend to use the least. This sparked my interest and sent me on a recipe hunting journey for dishes that extended past the typical Pumpkin Pie.
